We’re proud of our history, top service and quality products
Throughout the years we’ve been involved with fantastic projects, received supplier of the year awards, graphic design awards and letters of appreciation commending us for our work ethic, quality and speed.
We’ve been in business since the 1970s and we’ve evolved and grown with the industry to keep reflecting customer and business demands. We’re proud of our history and look forward to taking on new challenges as they come our way.
BOTTOM LINE:
We’re proud of where we started, and looking forward to where we’re headed – but nothing is more important than you, our customer, and giving you the best service and product we can.
Here are a few of our highlights:
- 1972 – We begin!
With ink in their blood from a long line of newspaper people, young entrepreneurs George and Karen purchase Multigraphics, a printing business consisting of an old press, a few cans of ink and as many customers. They set up shop on the top floor of an office on Adelaide Street in Toronto, around the corner from another little startup called Second City. Ontario Multi Graphics Ltd. is born. - 70’s – Business grows
MG moves a couple of times, each to larger premises, invest in more equipment and open our own in-house art department. - 80’s – We diversify and expand
We add clients, equipment and even more staff. Our name changes to Multi Graphics Print & Litho and we move to new premises on Matheson Boulevard in Mississauga. Business is booming and we purchase new Heidelbergs and other equipment. Proofs start being sent using a new technology – the fax machine! - 90’s – Full steam ahead
Our contemporary graphic art and digital design department keeps expanding and we start using this new thing called “email” to send soft proofs to clients. We also racked up a few awards: Vendor of Distinction (1995) (1998) (1999), Apex Award for Most Improved Brochure and Catalog (1996), Vendor of Distinction (1996), Apex Award for Design and Layout (1998), Vendor of Distinction (1998). - 2000’s – We keep on trucking
Our Mississauga premises expand again to accommodate in-house binding equipment and expand our product line to include promotional products. The switchover to digital continues: upgrades of our printing technologies and art department, and we establish a site on this weird thing called the “web”. Vendor of Distinction Award (2000). - 2010’s to Now, and beyond
We expand our website, to further support improved web-to-print solutions and to reflect our client’s requests for new products and processes. Digital and printing process continue to upgrade and improve, and we keep growing with it all.
